Today’s Probable Starter: RHP Drew Anderson The Express were off on Wednesday while traveling to Tacoma, Wash., where the club will open a series tonight against the Rainiers.

FRISCO ROUGHRIDERS – W, 8-2 AT SAN ANTONIO

Double-A Central, South Division (9-4, 1st, – GB)

Today’s Probable Starter: RHP Cole Winn Frisco won its 3rd straight game on Wednesday night, topping the Missions 8-2 in San Antonio. CF Steele Walker (4-for-5, 2B, 3 RBI, 2 R) matched his career high with 4 hits (3rd time). He drove in runs in the 3rd, 4th, and 6th, putting him in a tie for the team lead with 9 RBI this season (also Ryan Dorow and Bubba Thompson), T9th in the Double-A Central. C Jordan Procyshen hit his 1st home run of the season, a 2-run shot in the 4th inning, and finished 2-for-4. 3B Brock Holt (0-for-3, RBI) made it 6-1 with an RBI groundout in the 4th inning. Holt, playing his 1st game in the field, has gone 0-for-6 with an RBI and walk through 2 rehab games with Frisco. Starter RHP Tyler Phillips (3.0 IP, 1 R-ER) allowed only one run for a 2nd straight start.

Today’s Probable Starter: LHP Cody Bradford Hickory saw its losing streak extend to 6 straight after last night’s extra innings loss to Greensboro. C Scott Kapers (1-for-3, HR, 2 RBI, R) and SS Chris Seise (1-for-4, HR, 2 RBI, R) both went deep, as 2 of the Crawdads’ 3 hits left the yard. Seise’s 2 HR rank 2nd on the team behind Blaine Crim (4 HR). Reliever RHP Grant Anderson worked 3.0 scoreless innings, lowering his ERA to 0.84. RHP Jesus Linarez allowed 4 runs in the top of the 10th to take the loss.

Today’s Probable Starter: RHP Gavin Collyer Down East overcame an early 3-1 deficit and held on for a 6-5 win. CF Evan Carter doubled, walked, and scored 2 runs, as he has reached safely in 10 of his 12 games. SS Keyber Rodriguez (2-4, 2 RBI, R, SB) has multiple hits in 3 of the last 4 games.
