Round Rock (21-12) won 10-8 at Sugar Land

LF Andy Ibáñez (3-for-6, 3 RBI) collected 10 total bases (HR, 2 2B)…CF Leody Taveras (2-for-6, RBI, SB) is slashing .308/.424/.538/.963 (16-52) with 6 extra-base hits (3 HR, 3 2B) over his last 14 games, posting nearly as many walks (11) as strikeouts (13) in that span…RHP Joe Barlow fanned 3 of 4 batters faced in the 9th inning to record his 6th save of the season…the 25-year-old owns a 13.5 strikeouts per 9 innings figure (24 SO/16.0 IP) in 14 relief appearances this season.

Frisco (20-14) lost 6-2 vs. NW Arkansas

LHP Jake Latz (4.0 IP, 4 H, 2 R-ER, 3 BB, 6 SO, 1 HR) has allowed 2 or fewer runs in each of his last 6 G/4 GS, lowering his season ERA from 15.43 to 2.89 (9 ER/28.0 IP)…DH Ryan Dorow (2-for-3, HR, 2B, BB) lifted his 5th HR of the campaign, one shy of Steele Walker (6) for the club lead…Dorow’s .354 (29-82) batting average in 22 G this season would be 4th-highest among Double-A batters if he qualified.

Hickory (13-22) lost 7-5 vs. Greensboro (10 inn.)

1B Blaine Crim (2-for-4, HR, 2 RBI) and C David García (2-for-4, BB) accounted for 4 of Hickory’s 7 hits…Crim has twice as many HR this season (6) as any other Hickory batter (3-Jose Acosta).

Down East (21-13) won 6-3 at Fayetteville

RHP Nick Krauth (3.0 IP, 3 H, 1 R-ER, 5 SO) and RHP Tyree Thompson (W, 4.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 3 SO) combined to throw 7.0 innings of one-run ball, lowering their season ERAs to 2.36 and 2.70, respectively…SS Luisangel Acuna (3-for-5, 2B, SB) plated a season-high 4 RBI…CF Evan Carter (0-for-2, 3 BB) and 3B Keyber Rodriguez (1-for-1, 3 BB) drew a total of 6 walks out of the no. 1 and 2 positions in the batting order…Carter’s 33 BB this season are the 2nd-most in all of minor league baseball behind only Trevor Hauver (35) of the Low-A Tampa Tarpons (NYY).

Extended Spring

INF Josh Jung  played his final game at extended spring on Saturday against the Royals and will join Frisco for its roadtrip that begins in Corpus Christi on Tuesday.
