TEXARKANA — The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department (TAPD) announced Tuesday they have arrested a murder suspect involved in the homicide of 40-year-old Earnest Jackson at the Fox Creek Apartments on May 25.
TAPD arrested 22-year-old Mahogany Palmer in the parking lot of the Baymont Inn at 5100 North Stateline Avenue in Texarkana, Arkansas at around 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Palmer was wanted for capital murder and felony theft of property over $25,000.
Palmer was transported to the Miller County Jail, and no information on a bond has been set at this time, according to police.
On May 25, the apartment manager at Fox Creek Apartments asked for police to perform a welfare check on Jackson, who had not been seen or heard from in a week. Police were dispatched and discovered the Chicago, Illinois, man deceased in his apartment. TAPD’s criminal investigation division worked leads to ascertain how Jackson’s homicide occurred and identify possible suspects.
