A Hamburg murder is under investigation by the Arkansas State Police.
Special agents of the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation division were sent to investigate what the Hamburg Police Department called a shooting incident after a vehicle collided into the side of a home at 407 Chicago Street, police say.
33-year-old Todd A. Martin of Crossett, Ark., was found dead at the scene. Police say Martin parked his vehicle outside 408 Chicago earlier in the night and walked across the street to 407 Chicago to visit family members.
According to police, Martin left 407 Chicago and re-entered his vehicle. While driving away, he was shot and the vehicle continued to roll across the street and hit the side of the home where he had earlier been visiting relatives, police say.
Martin’s body was transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for purposes of determining the exact manner and cause of death and to recover any other forensic evidence.
State police conducted numerous investigative interviews Tuesday. However, no arrests have been made.
