Farmers Bank & Trust moving into larger facility in Texarkana, Texas.

It’s a short move for Farmers Bank & Trust. They are moving across the street into their new bigger building.

Farmers is moving from their current location inside a strip facility. They are locating in a free standing building. It was previously the home of Midsouth Bank. The new location is located at 5600 Richmond Road.

It will be a full service facility, with much more space for their customers. There will be more space for offices for employees. There will be a bigger parking lot.

Farmer’s has three other locations in Texarkana. This includes 2900 St. Michael Drive, 3601 East 9th Street, and 1102 Arkansas Boulevard. Farmers has other locations across Northeast Texas and Southwest Arkansas. Farmers is in New Boston at 416 North McCoy Boulevard. Also, located in Hope at 200 East Third Street, 617 North Hervey, and 2103 South Main.

 

According to the Farmers website, the company was chartered on September 26, 1906, and has been in operation since its inception. Farmers Bank is an independent community bank and operates out of a one bank holding company. That is Magnolia Banking Corporation. The Bank operates the subsidiary called Magnolia Properties, Inc.

The company says its primary mission has been to serve the banking needs of its communities.

Their website adds, they have built a reputation of conservative soundness that has served it well. The company says through the years, they have enjoyed a reputation of strong integrity. The also say honesty has enabled them to gain increased market share in the local banking market.

According to the company, the oldest existing general ledgers indicate that the Bank began in 1906. The primary business of the bank at that time was deposit services.
Today, Farmers Bank & Trust says they have assets of approximately $1.3 billion. They offer a wide variety of products and services to serve the needs of its communities.
