Disaster Preparedness Drill Deemed a Success

A Disaster Preparedness Drill conducted earlier this week in Miller County has been deemed a success.

According to the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department, a number of agencies participated in this important drill.

Authorities say the Office of Emergency Management in Miller County assisted the Fouke Independent School District. The agency helped Fouke School Resource Officer Jeremy McClure with the drill.

Scenario Based Drill involved several 1st Responders

This included the Fouke Police and Fire Departments. It also included LifeNet, the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department, and the Miller County Prosecutor’s Office. This was a role playing drill designed to prepare the Fouke School administration and staff with mitigation and response to an Active Shooter.
