TEXARKANA — The Texarkana Texas Police Department says that a church bus from Brazoria, Texas, caught fire Monday afternoon at the intersection of Richmond Road and Mall Drive.
Police say the vehicle fire caused brief congestion while the Texarkana Texas Fire Department worked to put out the fire.
The bus was a total loss, but police say that the driver and passengers made it off the bus safely.
According to police, T-Line offered to give the youth group a ride to the Southwest Center to give them enough time to figure out their plans.
Police say that a local church volunteered to get the kids to camp in order to have a fun week.
